Get ready for the Vienna City Marathon. Our preparation run on 10 March offers you an excellent opportunity to boost your motivation and form.
The "Vienna Calling Half Marathon" starts on the Reichsbrücke. You will experience a thrilling foretaste of the Vienna City Marathon six weeks later.
There will also be 5 km and 10 km races on the Prater Hauptallee.

Late entry, as long as starting places are available, on Friday at the bib number pick-up, for 5K and 10K races also on Sunday at the start & finish area. Find details below.
Do a test run or your VCM dress rehearsal and spend an active Sunday with lots of friends and acquaintances from the running community.

8:00 am: Start of the "Vienna Calling Half Marathon" on the Reichsbrücke
11:00 | 11:05 am: 5 km and 10 km with two start waves & finish in the Prater Hauptallee, Meiereistraße area / Stadionbad car park.
Two start waves at 5 & 10 km:
Order yourself according to your running pace, regardless of your distance.
- 1st wave 11:00 - faster than 5:30 min/km
- 2nd wave 11:05 - slower than 5:30 min/km

Bib number pick-up
Friday, March 8, 2024, 2-6 PM
HERVIS, Mariahilfer Straße 36, 1070 Vienna
Pick up your race number on Friday if at all possible, especially if you are a half marathon participant. You can also pick up the number for someone else.
On top of that, you will receive a 20 per cent discount on the entire running range (except reduced goods and sports watches) in the Hervis shop at Mariahilfer Straße 36 on this afternoon.

Please arrive early and note that there may be waiting times.
Timing with RFID chip in the race number. You cannot use your own chip and do not need to rent a chip.
Starting area half marathon
The start is at 8:00 am on the Reichsbrücke - directly above the Danube Island.
The start area on the Reichsbrücke can be reached by public transport with the underground line U1, station "Donauinsel" (exit "Donauinsel"), on foot or by bike via the footpath/cycle path below the Reichsbrücke.
Access to the Reichsbrücke is from the Danube Island via the south ramp. There is no access by car and no stopping or parking facilities on the Danube Island and/or the Reichsbrücke Ramp South. Please allow sufficient time for your journey to the start.
Cloakroom storage in the BigBus
Possibility to leave a clothes bag in a BigBus. The bus will be available at the Reichsbrücke from 7:15 am and will drive to the Prater Hauptallee after the start, where it will also be available for the 5 km & 10 km competition.

- Moderation at the start (Reichsbrücke), in the finish area at the Stadionbad and at the Lusthaus.
