Badminton Extreme Philippines was started in 2009 by badminton enthusiasts Kennevic and Kennie Asuncion of the Golden Shuttle Foundation in Manila after the demise of the Badminton Extreme TV series (during mid 2000's aired on Studio 23 and maintained a website as badmintonx.org). BX Magazine was distributed for free.
