Reliable third-party battery brands (non-Retina)
What the title says. I'm about to buy a battery for a 13" late 2011 MBP I'm upgrading with a new motherboard, and I need a battery for it. I got some superchina battery on Amazon for another MBP awhile back, and it did not last (expanded and is now useless less than a year after I bought it).

Are there any brands that are more reliable than others, or do they all equally suck?

Anker used to be the gold standard in 3rd party batteries. But they moved on to home security gizmos (Eufy) and became too proud to sell batteries any more.

My last MBP battery was an Egoway, for 15" 2011-2012. It had good reviews at the time.

It's nearly 4 years later (bought Aug 2019), with no issues. They advertise 7200 mAh, while my MBP says 7318 today. 21 cycles.

OWC has a good reputation too.
