Official Mac Notebook Picture Thread
Can you post some pictures of your powerbook ? I prefer to see powerbooks in real life environment than on the Apple website. And I know I'm not the only one ;) (Don't have yet a powerbook myself)

Check the Fosters drinker who cleans the room up for a forum pic, nice!
|
danbrew: is that a 17" next to the Ti? If it is, It doesn't look anywhere near as large and unwieldy as I'd imagined.
http://freespace.virgin.net/marshall.../powerbook.jpg No, it doesn't live on the floor. |
also Fosters is crap in a can. |

I just get my powerbook I took some pictures of the unpacking and of my office.

Re: in my office
Would you mind terribly, if possible, putting the iBook (is that the 12"?)
on top, then, side by-side viewpoints? thanks!

My new set-up. I used to have FP iMac rev A now it went to another room. My PB 12 is with me in my own room all the time. Just got the cinema display and I love it. |
|
macndave you willingly use the original imac keyboard?!?
|
Here's my desk in my college room. Excuse the small size and blurriness, it was taken with my cell phone.

I think this is suppose to be the livingroom. Couple months old here, 15" tibook is gone, 17" now.. etc.. |
|

|
I think we have a winner. Nice setup. |

You all seem to be so organized. I have a pile of stuff everywhere. On a side table I have a scanner, an inkjet printer, two firewire drives, a digital camera, a DV-camera, then a load of empty CD-R's and DVD-R's. Then to top it off I have loads of papers, pens and cups of tea (empty) and my mobile phone, iPod and some nail polish. Oh and did I remember to mention the Wacom tablet, some Mac catalogs, a tape messure and my iSight?
ARRRGH! I need a maid! |
looks like you have a lot of valuable stuff there in plain view of both the door and window... not to be an a$$ or anything...just hate for you to be a victim of a smash and grab scenario... lates... |
Re: Pictures of your powerbook set up
|
looking at bigerfoot's pic, you see how off that first iBook really was.. good apple realized most people don't want to have something on their desk that looks like some play-doo-toy.
|
The iMac keyboard does everything I need, except Disk eject (and I don't think the Pro keyboards have a function (fn) key, so I won't miss not being able to forward delete). I had thought of getting the wireles bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but I don't think it would allow me to work with the Cinema display and the PowerBook closed. But then, I like the dual monitors of the PowerBook and the Cinema display. I wish Apple would come out with a black/grey key wireless keyboard and a two button, scroll wheel wireless mouse. |
|
I just think it fits the old iMac perfectly, sizewise. |
Doesn't anyone use a Powerbook with a non-Apple LCD?
I'm on the verge of getting a Samsung 213T that I think will complement the 'book nicely. |
How do you like that wireless mouse?
|
And the hat (or the cigars?), well, the hat belonged to Lyndon B Johnson and has been in the family for years. I get a call every few years from the LBJ Library/Museum people down at the University of Texas asking if we'll donate it to the Museum. I'm thinking about it - but it adds a lot of character to the room - and it fits! |
|
My setup:
http://rigor.res.cmu.edu/images/compSetup.tif I've got the Maxtor 160 GB harddrive on the left, JBL Creature Speakers (satellites on either side of the computer, sub up above the computer on the shelf), 17" PowerSlab first gen and an iSight sitting on top of the PB. And a Logitech MX 500 mouse. I forgot to include my iPod. First gen 5 GB. Viva le Scrollwheel!! I'm sorry... |
I'm really thinking about getting one of those, either that or a really top end Digital SLR. Course I can't afford either one, so... |
Uhhhhh
That's sick man! |
|
here |
(I like that glass desk, however!) |
I think most Australians would disagree with you there. After all, the advertising says that it's "Australia's Famous Beer". It says nowhere (and quite rightly, too) that it's actually nice to drink :P
